** Thursday we also have practice in the audi at 1:40-2:30. Same as Wednesday, if we finish by that time, then yay.

***This Friday we won't have practice 10:50-11:40 because there's some sort of Career something which we probably have to attend ( :P ) but all the other Fridays, we have no more UB T_T

On Monday, please bring ANY Indian-looking clothes that you have. And I mean ANY. Para ma-approve, because we seriously need to budget. D: It's either that or everyone contributes a LOT of money. (Nuuu....)

We're going to have a Costume Crew and a Production Crew! Both will have maybe 3 or 4 members with 1 as the head, and you design the costumes/props. Stay within the budget D: We have a budget of 7k for the entire play. Costume Crew report to me on what you've been doing, and Production Crew report to Juan (but I haven't told him yet so don't be shocked if he acts surprised- sorry Juan!). Oh yeah, and Production includes Begonia by default. :D

isa,

a. I won't be in school until about after 4 on thrusdey because of ASTW (aren't we both thursday?)

b. since Sita's dress is expensive,I'll use mine nalang (I'll bring it on mon) and but you HAVE to add something over the shoulders.

c. your dad texted my mom abt costumes. pls define "simple" (hopefully by the end of this day) so I can send it to you asap.

d. does that mean luis and I are the only ones in costume com.?

e. since I'm not needed on tuesday :) just tell juan: (I forgot to put it in the script) that when ravana yells "maricha!" demon maids are supposed to hurry and get aaron.

still me.

oh and btw. The citizen and demons don't have to bring indian clothes. look at the back of the paper I gave you.

*Guy citizens only has to bring black shirts and printed pajama bottoms

*girl citizens bring black top and black tong skirt and malong

*demon army bring black shirt and black pants

*demon maids bring black top and skirt (or a long black dress if you want, anyone who needs, I can lend you)

My dad made a mistake, sorry. The right word for simple, actually, is inexpensive. We have a budget of 7k for the entire play- costumes, props, everything. I know from experience that a plain white dress costs 3k. So what we really need are costumes that look absolutely awesome and yet aren't super expensive. ^_^ We may have to rely on our ever-faithful Divisoria for costumes and/or cloth.

I'm actually corresponding with a play producer and she agreed to help with our costumes, but I am trying to haggle. D:

:)) you got there before me.

I was thinking that IN CASE anyone's the same size... D: And of course, if they have double roles, and most of us do.

pardon? I got where? I didn't get the last part. hey Isa, can you post an entry telling the citizens and demons what to bring. They might have overturned their closets already

:)) I meant you commented right before I did. XD

What I meant was that since most of the citizens and demons still have double roles as other characters, they'll still need to bring some Indian costumes. Even if it's a simple malong they can throw on to make it look different- we can't have every minor character looking like a demon army soldier or a citizen.

I was thinking- could we possibly NOT have everyone bring black? Particularly the citizens. The Indians wear super colourful costumes. We can make exceptions for the demon people, but seriously, too much black will look very depressing onstage.
